Like everything else, faucets have been treated with technology as well. We have taps that need to be turned to allow the water to flow. But the advancements have seen them change this scenario as taps are becoming contactless with the help of technology, touchless public restroom faucets are gaining a lot of popularity and are being installed. The faucets come in different shapes, sizes, and colors. Many companies are manufacturing them and they are available in a wide variety. These contactless faucets use an infrared sensor which enables them to detect movement to allow the water to flow through them.
This is a safer and more unhygienic alternative of the traditional faucets we have been using which had taps. This is better at even saving the water because they work with the help of sensors and as the hand draws away from the faucet it automatically turns itself off and in term saves excess water which is lost while we are rotating to turn on or off the taps. They help in better healthcare as well as they are contact-free. So, no contamination via hands occur. They are expensive as compared to traditional faucets but technology comes at a cost.
