Pressure Balance Valve vs Thermostatic Shower Valve
What is Difference between Pressure Balance Valve vs Thermostatic Shower Valve?
Thermostatic shower mixer valve refers to a built in antiscalding device to prevent any sudden shift in water temperature. On the other hand the pressure balance valve only controls the ratio of hot to cold water. In the contrary a pressure balance valve will not be a perfect solution for avoiding a sudden shift in hot water temperature. So what is the difference between thermostatic vs pressure balance; the thermostatic is anti scalding device meaning it will prevent the burning if for example someone in the bathroom flush the toilet while shower is on a probability of sudden shift to full hot temperature will be prevented when you have thermostatic shower valve, on the other hand the pressure balance valve only takes control of balancing the water flow but will not work as thermostatic anti scalding shower mixer.
