The Fontana Taverny™ Matte Black Touchless Faucet combines brass
construction, infrared sensing, AC/DC power, and concealed wall-mounted
installation for commercial and residential washrooms.
How should the infrared sensor be commissioned after installation?
Complete commissioning after the basin, finished wall, mirror, lighting,
and surrounding accessories are installed. Test multiple hand approaches
beneath the 9.49-inch spout and confirm consistent activation followed
by complete automatic shutoff. Check reflective surfaces for unintended
sensor interference before final handover.
How should the 5.3–6.5 inch faucet center range be coordinated during rough-in?
Coordinate the concealed rough-in before closing the wall and maintain
the specified 5.3–6.5 inch center range. Confirm alignment with the basin,
finished-wall thickness, and trim position. Flush and pressure-test the
concealed connections before completing the wall finish.
How should the 1.2 GPM flow and ceramic valve be checked?
Flush the supply before final connection and perform repeated sensor
cycles. Confirm stable 1.2 GPM / 4.5 LPM delivery and complete shutoff.
If flow becomes weak or irregular, inspect the supply path, ceramic valve,
and outlet before servicing the electronic sensing components.
How should the Matte Black finish and sensor area be maintained?
Clean exposed surfaces with a soft damp microfiber cloth and dry them
afterward. Keep the infrared sensor area and outlet free from soap film
and mineral buildup. Avoid abrasive pads, steel wool, acidic cleaners,
bleach, ammonia, and aggressive polishing compounds.
