4 of 5 Minimal Surface Wear Wednesday, September 2, 2026
Reviewer: Gideon Mercer, Systems Advisor from Cody, WY
During transportation and executive-office restroom upgrades completed between 2022 and 2025, earlier oil-rubbed-bronze touchless faucets repeatedly developed visible finish wear, unstable infrared activation, and delayed shutoff timing during continuous public usage, leading us to install this sensor faucet system, and by 2026 the operational consistency has remained substantially steadier than previous dark-finish commercial fixtures operating in comparable environments. Earlier systems frequently struggled with reflective sink surfaces and changing restroom lighting conditions that caused repeated recalibration requests, whereas this faucet maintained more dependable activation timing with smoother stream regulation throughout repeated operation cycles. Maintenance supervisors also noted that the darker finish concealed maintenance spotting more naturally than polished bronze fixtures previously installed in the same facilities. One reflective wall application required additional sensitivity refinements during setup, but once calibrated the infrared responsiveness and operational reliability remained highly dependable overall.

3 of 5 Retrofit Reality Thursday, August 27, 2026

Nothing in our building is perfectly square anymore, and that became obvious when we started renovating these restrooms. This faucet wasn't the problem; decades of previous plumbing work were. Once the contractor corrected the surrounding conditions, the touchless setup worked as intended and the darker bronze finish suited the property beautifully. I'm giving three stars because the overall installation was more involved than management expected, although I'd be unfair blaming the fixture alone. In a clean new rough-in, I'd expect an easier job.

4 of 5 Old Finish Modernized Thursday, August 27, 2026
Reviewer: Robert Sinclair from Richmond, VA
This light oil-rubbed-bronze faucet is technically stronger than its traditional finish suggests. Fontana documents adjustable 1632 cm detection, sub-one-second opening, under-two-second closing, AC or four-AA battery power, G1/2 connections, a 3335 mm mounting opening, approximately 100,000-cycle battery life, and a motor valve rated for up to 500,000 cycles. That makes the fixture easier to evaluate as commercial equipment rather than decorative trim. The bronze finish can integrate naturally with warmer hospitality palettes, but cleaning products should be selected carefully to avoid uneven surface alteration. I would also keep power and valve components readily reachable beneath the counter. The result is a convincing combination of traditional material character and measurable contemporary sensor performance.

The functionality and appeal of these touchless faucets really struck us. These faucets were exceptionally designed since, in contrast to certain other versions, they did not overspray the sink. The ease with which the water pressure under the sink can be changed adds to the product's overall utility and convenience. We heartily endorse it to anybody looking for a dependable and straightforward touchless faucet.
