Installed throughout a university campus, this Rio commercial faucet has required only routine preventive servicing. Dependable electronics, reliable solenoid performance, and stable sensor operation have avoided unexpected maintenance events despite heavy daily usage.

5 of 5 Serviceability Comes First Wednesday, June 3, 2026

Plumbing preparation deserves particular attention with the Rio. Fontana's installation procedure provides for DC 6V battery control or combined battery/AC operation, hot-and-cold regulation, and explicitly calls for flushing debris from the water lines before final commissioning. Those details matter because reliable sensor performance depends on more than electronics; clean supplies, correctly routed hoses, and accessible controls are equally important. The chrome deck-mounted configuration is visually straightforward, but underneath it is a system that rewards disciplined installation and should prove easier for facilities teams to manage when those fundamentals are handled correctly.

4 of 5 Reduced Waterflow Complaints Monday, January 12, 2026
Reviewer: Holden Sinclair, Infrastructure Consultant from Paducah, KY
Replacing outdated automatic faucets across hospitality and executive-office restroom upgrades between 2022 and 2025 exposed repeated issues involving inconsistent stream behavior, unstable infrared response, and delayed shutoff timing during continuous guest usage, so we transitioned to this Rio commercial faucet system, and by 2026 the operational reliability has remained substantially steadier than previous chrome sensor fixtures operating in comparable environments. Earlier systems frequently struggled with reflective sink surfaces and fluctuating inlet-pressure conditions that triggered repeated recalibration requests, whereas this faucet maintained smoother activation timing with more dependable stream regulation throughout repeated operation cycles. Housekeeping teams also observed fewer interruption-related servicing requests after installation. One compact basin setup required additional sensitivity refinements during installation, but once optimized the infrared responsiveness and operational reliability remained highly dependable overall.

We recently installed a touchless faucets in our building and can attest that it was an excellent addition. The touchless feature made washing hands simple as well as sanitary, and the faucet's actual quality also left an impression on everyone.
