Fontana Commercial Sensor Faucets™ | Architectural and Engineering Resource
Fontana FS-9564BN Commercial Brushed Nickel Touchless Automatic Sensor Sink Faucet:
Cold-Water Installation Schematic
This cold-water installation resource is intended to support architects,
plumbing engineers, contractors, installers and facility managers coordinating
the Fontana FS-9564BN commercial touchless automatic sensor sink faucet.
The drawing package communicates the relationship between the G1/2 cold-water
angle stop, flexible supply hose, solenoid valve, faucet inlet, control box,
power source and under-counter service arrangement required for a dedicated
cold-water installation.
Fontana FS-9564BN Cold-Water Touchless Faucet Installation
The FS-9564BN can be arranged as a dedicated cold-water touchless faucet
system using a G1/2 cold-water supply, angle stop and electronically
controlled solenoid valve. The under-counter control box manages sensor
input and valve operation, while power may be supplied by the illustrated
battery option or AC adapter.

Required Cold-Water Installation Drawing Package
Each drawing should use a consistent component identification system and
clearly distinguish the water path, control components and power connections.
The package should identify the cold-water angle stop, G1/2 supply line,
solenoid-valve inlet and outlet, faucet cold-water inlet, control box,
power source and accessible service zones. Final routing should be coordinated
with cabinet geometry, drain location and electrical requirements.
Cold-Water Installation Overview
Shows the complete dedicated cold-water arrangement from the G1/2 angle stop through the solenoid valve to the faucet inlet, together with the control box and selected power source.
Cold-Water Supply Detail
Illustrates the G1/2 cold-water angle stop, flexible supply connection and solenoid-valve inlet. The supply path should remain accessible and free from kinks, compression and interference with the drain assembly.
Solenoid Valve
Identifies the electronically actuated valve that opens and closes water flow in response to sensor commands. The valve should be mounted securely and remain accessible for inspection and service.
Faucet Cold-Water Inlet
Shows the outlet side of the solenoid valve connected to the faucet cold-water inlet. The hose should be routed directly, without sharp bends, and should not be subjected to tension.
Cold-Water Angle Stop
Provides the local shutoff point for the faucet system. Position the G1/2 angle stop where it can be reached easily for installation, leak testing and future maintenance.
Control Box
Shows the electronic control enclosure that receives the touchless sensor signal and manages solenoid-valve operation. Mount it to a stable cabinet surface away from direct water exposure.
Power Source
Coordinates the illustrated battery-pack or AC-adapter power option with the control box. Electrical connectors should remain dry, fully seated and accessible for service.
Installation Sequence
Turn off the cold-water supply, connect the G1/2 supply to the solenoid inlet, connect the solenoid outlet to the faucet, mount and power the control box, then restore water and test for leaks.
Leak & Function Testing
After installation, inspect all threaded and hose connections while the system is pressurized and verify that sensor activation opens and closes the solenoid valve correctly.
Engineering note:
The cold-water schematic is a coordination reference and should not be scaled.
Verify G1/2 connection compatibility, solenoid orientation, hose routing,
power-source requirements, control-box placement and service access against
the current FontanaShowers installation instructions and approved project
submittal before installation.
Plumbing, Electrical and Service Coordination Considerations
Cold-Water Isolation
Provide an accessible G1/2 cold-water angle stop so the faucet system can be isolated independently for installation and maintenance.
Solenoid Orientation
Install the solenoid valve in the correct flow direction between the cold-water supply and the faucet inlet to ensure proper automatic operation.
Hose Routing
Maintain smooth hose bends and avoid pinching, abrasion, excessive tension or contact with cabinet hardware and drain components.
Power Selection
Coordinate the battery pack or AC adapter with the project power strategy and keep all power connections protected from leaks and moisture.
Service Access
Maintain adequate cabinet clearance to reach the angle stop, solenoid valve, control box, power source and hose connections without removing the faucet.
Commissioning
Restore water only after all plumbing and electrical connections are secure, then test touchless activation, shutoff response and leak-free performance.

Project verification:
Cold-water installation schematics are coordination tools and do not replace
approved project submittals. The architect, plumbing engineer, electrical engineer,
contractor and licensed installer should verify cold-water connection compatibility,
angle-stop placement, solenoid orientation, hose routing, power-source requirements,
control-box location, service access, accessibility criteria and locally adopted
codes before installation.
