contractors and installers coordinating the Fontana FS-354AQ-DP commercial
automatic sensor faucet. The installation layout identifies the required

The Fontana FS-354AQ-DP is a deck-mounted commercial automatic
sensor faucet with an antique brass finish and brass body.
The rough-in arrangement combines the exposed faucet assembly
above the finished countertop with a threaded mounting stem,
sealing and fastening hardware, sensor cable, flexible water
hose and electronic control module below the deck. Proper
coordination of these components is required before countertop
drilling, plumbing connection and final fixture installation.

Required Deck-Mount Rough-In & Installation Drawing Package
The installation drawing should establish the faucet centerline relative
to the lavatory basin, the countertop opening required for the threaded
mounting stem, the permitted countertop thickness and the complete
below-deck mounting and control assembly. Routing space should also be
reserved for the sensor cable, flexible water connection and power/control
module so that installation, adjustment and future servicing can be
performed without removing the countertop or basin.
Deck-Mount Rough-In & Countertop Installation
Shows the complete relationship between the exposed faucet,
countertop, lavatory basin, mounting opening, threaded stem,
fastening hardware, flexible water hose, sensor cable and
control module. This drawing serves as the principal reference
for countertop fabrication and under-deck coordination.
Faucet & Basin Centerline
The front elevation aligns the faucet centerline with the
center of the lavatory basin. Maintaining this relationship
helps position the outlet over the usable bowl area and
provides a clear geometric reference for countertop drilling.
Mounting-Hole Requirement
The countertop requires a pre-drilled mounting opening
between Ø32 mm and Ø35 mm (1.26–1.38 in). The opening
should be accurately located on the faucet centerline before
the countertop is installed or final plumbing connections
are completed.
Maximum Countertop Thickness
The installation layout identifies a maximum countertop
thickness of 35 mm (1.38 in) when the faucet is installed
without a deck plate. Countertop material and finished
thickness should therefore be verified before drilling.
Backsplash & Wall Clearance
The front-view layout identifies a recommended minimum
clearance of 100 mm (3.94 in) between the faucet installation
zone and the backsplash or adjacent wall. This clearance
supports installation, operation and service accessibility.
Mounting Hardware Stack
Below the countertop, the faucet is secured using the
threaded mounting stem together with the O-ring, rubber
washer, metal washer and mounting nut with locking bolts.
The hardware should remain square to the mounting surface
while the fastening assembly is tightened.
Sensor Cable & Water Hose Routing
The sensor cable and flexible water hose pass through
the countertop assembly into the service zone below the
lavatory. A minimum 19 mm (3/4 in) feed-through space is
identified for routing these components without sharp
bends, compression or interference.
Control Box / Power Module
The electronic control box is installed below the
countertop where it can connect to the faucet sensor,
water line and electrical supply while remaining accessible
for commissioning, battery replacement and future service.
Plumbing & Electrical Requirements
The installation layout identifies G1/2 in (DN15)
plumbing connections and either a DC 6V battery supply
using four AA batteries or an AC 110–220V, 50/60Hz
power arrangement. Coordinate the selected power configuration
before installation.
Engineering note:
Do not scale the installation drawing. Confirm the Ø32–35 mm
mounting-hole diameter, 35 mm maximum countertop thickness,
100 mm recommended backsplash clearance, faucet-to-basin
centerline, under-deck clearances, mounting hardware sequence,
G1/2 supply connection and electrical configuration before
countertop fabrication or final installation.
Deck-Mount Installation Coordination Considerations
Basin Centerline
Center the faucet on the lavatory basin so the spout
and water outlet remain aligned with the bowl’s usable
capture area and drain centerline where appropriate.
Countertop Fabrication
Verify the countertop material, finished thickness,
mounting-hole location and Ø32–35 mm opening before
drilling. Confirm that sufficient material remains around
the opening to support the faucet assembly.
Mounting-Hardware Access
Keep the area directly below the faucet clear so the
O-ring, washers, mounting nut and locking bolts can be
installed, tightened and serviced without interference
from the basin or surrounding cabinetry.
Hose & Cable Routing
Route the flexible water hose and sensor cable with
sufficient space to prevent kinking, crushing or excessive
bending. Maintain the required feed-through clearance
below the deck.
Control-Box Access
Locate the electronic control box where the enclosure,
cable connections, water connections and battery compartment
remain accessible after the lavatory and surrounding
casework are complete.
Supply & Shut-Off Access
Maintain service access to the G1/2 water connection,
control components and any associated shut-off valves.
Do not conceal required service points behind permanently
fixed construction.
