What deck conditions are required for the single-hole installation?

The mounting surface must be rigid, level, and capable of supporting the 12.99-inch-tall faucet without flexing. The single mounting hole should allow full shank engagement while leaving sufficient clearance below the deck for supply hoses, sensor components, and service access.

How should the infrared sensing field be evaluated after basin installation?

The sensor should be tested from several hand-entry angles after the basin, backsplash, mirror, and nearby accessories are installed. This confirms reliable activation without false detection from reflective surfaces or objects inside the surrounding sensing zone.

Why should the hot and cold supply pressures be hydraulically balanced?

Comparable dynamic inlet pressure improves temperature adjustment and maintains a stable outlet stream. Large pressure differences can cause inconsistent mixing, reduced flow from one supply, and noticeable temperature changes during automatic activation.

What flushing procedure protects the ceramic valve core and sensor-controlled waterways?

Flush both supply branches before connecting the faucet and control components. Removing pipe scale, solder residue, thread sealant, and construction debris helps prevent ceramic valve damage, restricted flow, solenoid contamination, and incomplete automatic shutoff.

How should the faucet be tested for static and dynamic leakage?

Pressurize the system without triggering flow and inspect all supply, mixing, and control-box connections for static leakage. Then activate the faucet repeatedly and recheck the same joints under dynamic flow and shutoff conditions.

What diagnostic sequence applies when the faucet activates inconsistently?

Clean the sensor window, verify the power source, check all electrical connections, remove reflective objects from the sensing area, and confirm adequate supply pressure. Persistent irregular activation may require sensor recalibration or inspection of the control module.

How should the antique brass finish and vandal-resistant outlet be maintained?

Clean the faucet with a soft cloth and diluted pH-neutral cleaner, then rinse and dry it. Periodically inspect the tamper-resistant outlet for mineral buildup while avoiding abrasive pads, acidic descalers, bleach, ammonia, and metal-polishing compounds.

Which commissioning procedure verifies complete FS-33CM-ATB touchless faucet performance?

Commissioning should verify rigid single-hole mounting, flushed hot and cold supplies, balanced inlet pressure, leak-free static and dynamic testing, secure power and control connections, reliable sensor activation, correct temperature adjustment, uniform outlet flow, automatic shutoff, absence of false triggering, and repeatable performance through multiple operating cycles.

Fontana Amelio™ Antique Brass Touchless Sink Faucet FAQ

Infrared Touchless Activation, Ceramic Valve Control; 12.99" High-Arc Profile & Antique Brass Surface Protection

The Fontana Amelio™ Antique Brass Touchless Sink Faucet combines contemporary high-arc geometry with hands-free sensor activation in a single-hole deck-mounted configuration. The faucet features a ceramic valve core, hot-and-cold water capability, a 12.99-inch overall height, and an Antique Brass finish designed to coordinate touchless technology with traditional and heritage-inspired commercial washroom interiors.

How should the infrared touchless sensor be commissioned after installation?

Complete sensor commissioning only after the basin, countertop, mirror, lighting, backsplash, and surrounding restroom accessories are fully installed. Perform repeated hand-entry and withdrawal cycles from normal washing positions and verify prompt water activation followed by complete automatic shutoff. Check mirrors, polished stone, metallic accessories, and other reflective surfaces for unintended infrared interaction before placing the faucet into regular service.

How should the 12.99-inch high-arc faucet be coordinated with the basin?

Establish the single-hole mounting location relative to the actual basin before drilling or final tightening. Because the faucet has a 12.99-inch overall high-arc profile, verify adequate clearance below mirrors, shelving, and wall accessories while confirming that the outlet directs water into the primary handwashing zone. Basin depth and stream landing position should be checked during commissioning to reduce splash outside the bowl.

What should be checked if flow regulation or automatic shutoff becomes inconsistent?

Flush the hot and cold supply lines before final connection and confirm that service connections are unrestricted. Inspect the water path, outlet, sensor area, and ceramic valve core for debris or mineral accumulation. If infrared detection remains reliable but flow becomes weak, delayed, or fails to stop completely, troubleshoot the hydraulic and ceramic-valve components separately from the electronic sensing system before replacing control hardware.

How should the Antique Brass finish and sensor area be maintained?

Clean the exposed Antique Brass surfaces with a soft damp microfiber cloth and dry them after cleaning to minimize soap film, fingerprints, and mineral residue. Keep the infrared sensing area and water outlet free from buildup that could affect activation or flow. Use diluted pH-neutral cleaner when necessary and avoid abrasive pads, steel wool, acidic descalers, bleach, ammonia, aggressive metal polish, and concentrated chemicals that may alter the aged appearance of the finish.

Patina Needs Care	Saturday, August 1, 2026

Architecturally, this faucet worked extremely well in a boutique hospitality restroom where standard chrome would have looked too contemporary. The antique brass character adds warmth and pairs naturally with darker stone surfaces. Our facilities team did note that the finish benefits from careful cleaning to preserve its intended appearance. Sensor operation has otherwise been consistent, and the touchless format gives the space modern functionality without compromising the traditional design direction.

Heritage Gains Intelligence	Saturday, June 20, 2026

Codroipo succeeds because the antique-brass treatment does not force the restroom into outdated operating conventions. The touchless format preserves the visual warmth expected from traditional hardware while removing handles from the user sequence entirely. That makes the fixture particularly relevant to heritage hospitality, private clubs, and transitional commercial interiors where standard chrome sensors can look misplaced. I would evaluate the sensing field after the surrounding stone, mirror, and basin are installed rather than treating factory calibration as final. Antique brass also benefits from a clearly defined housekeeping protocol. More importantly, the fixture demonstrates that automated water delivery can be introduced into historically influenced interiors without making the technology visually dominate the architectural character.
