Fontana Lymora™ Black Granite Touchless Faucet:
Countertop Cross-Section Installation Detail
This countertop cross-section resource is intended to support architects,
plumbing engineers, interior designers, countertop fabricators, contractors,
installers and facility managers coordinating the Fontana Lymora™ Black Granite
touchless faucet. The drawing package communicates the faucet body, deck plate,
sealing gasket, finished countertop, threaded shank, retaining washer, locknut,
single-hole penetration, hot- and cold-water supply hoses, control cable and
below-deck service clearance.
Fontana Lymora™ Black Granite Countertop Installation Assembly
The Fontana Lymora™ uses a single-hole deck-mounted installation with
the faucet body centered over the countertop penetration. The faucet is
seated on a deck plate and sealing gasket above the finished surface,
while a threaded shank, brass retaining washer and locknut secure the
assembly from below. Flexible supply hoses and the touchless-control
cable route through the same central penetration into the service zone.

Required Countertop Cross-Section Drawing Package
Each installation drawing should use a consistent finished-countertop datum,
centerline convention and component identification system. The package
should clearly identify the deck plate, gasket, countertop penetration,
threaded shank, retaining hardware, supply hoses, control cable and
under-counter service zone. Final penetration size, deck thickness and
routing should be verified before fabrication or drilling.
Countertop Cross-Section Installation Detail
Shows the complete relationship between the Fontana Lymora™ faucet
body, deck plate, sealing gasket, finished countertop, threaded
shank, retaining washer, locknut, supply hoses and control cable.
This drawing provides the primary installation reference for
countertop fabrication and below-deck coordination.
Faucet Body & Deck Plate
Illustrates the Black Granite faucet body and rectangular waterfall
spout seated on the deck plate or escutcheon above the finished
countertop. The integrated sensor window remains located on the
front face of the faucet body.
Sealing Gasket Interface
Identifies the sealing gasket positioned between the deck plate and
the finished countertop. The gasket should remain centered and be
compressed evenly during tightening to support a stable, sealed
installation.
Single-Hole Penetration
Shows a nominal Ø35 mm (1-3/8 in.) countertop penetration centered
directly beneath the faucet body. The opening should be coordinated
with the basin, backsplash, cabinetry and concealed plumbing before
drilling.
Countertop Thickness
Indicates a maximum finished countertop thickness of approximately
51 mm (2.00 in.). The total deck build-up should allow sufficient
threaded-shank engagement for the retaining washer and locknut.
Mounting Stack Detail
Defines the installation sequence from top to bottom: faucet body,
deck plate, sealing gasket, finished countertop, threaded shank,
brass retaining washer and brass locknut. This stack secures the
faucet while maintaining a neat finished interface.
Below-Deck Service Zone
Calls for approximately 76 mm (3.0 in.) minimum service clearance
below the countertop. This area should remain accessible for
tightening hardware, inspecting connections and performing future
maintenance.
Supply & Cable Routing
Shows the flexible hot- and cold-water supply hoses together with
the control or sensor cable passing through the central penetration.
Routing should avoid sharp edges, kinks, pinch points and
unnecessary tension.
Installation Verification
Confirms that the faucet body is square to the basin, the gasket is
seated evenly, the retaining hardware is secure, hoses and cables
are protected, and all water connections are leak-free before the
system is placed in service.
Engineering note:
All dimensions and component relationships shown are nominal and
diagrammatic. Final countertop penetration size, deck thickness, sealing
method, mounting hardware, below-deck clearance, supply routing and
control-cable requirements should be verified against the approved Fontana
Lymora™ installation documentation before countertop fabrication or final
installation.
Architectural and Plumbing Coordination Considerations
Countertop Opening
Confirm the nominal Ø35 mm penetration before drilling, especially
where the countertop is stone, porcelain, quartz or another brittle
finish.
Centerline Alignment
Keep the faucet body centered on the mounting hole and align the
fixture with the basin centerline before the locknut is fully
tightened.
Gasket Seating
Seat the sealing gasket evenly between the deck plate and countertop
so the finished assembly remains stable and properly sealed.
Hardware Tightening
Tighten the retaining washer and locknut securely without
over-torquing or placing unnecessary stress on the countertop
material.
Supply & Cable Protection
Route hoses and control cables so they remain clear of sharp edges,
cabinet hardware and moving components below the counter.
Service Accessibility
Maintain the recommended under-counter clearance so the mounting
hardware, supply lines and sensor components can be reached after
installation.
