Fontana Manilva Matte Black Automatic Sensor Faucet FAQ
1.5 GPM Delivery, 7.0–8.9-Inch Reach;
60-Second Timeout & AC/DC Sensor Operation
The Fontana Manilva FS7973MB combines a high-arc brass profile,
1.5 GPM touchless delivery, AC/DC power, and extended spout reach
for commercial basin installations.
Where should the 7.0–8.9-inch spout reach land within the basin?
The extended outlet should place the 1.5 GPM stream comfortably
inside the bowl's primary washing zone rather than close to its
front or rear wall. Coordinate the faucet centerline with basin
depth and drain position before drilling the deck, particularly
with shallow bowls where the long reach can increase splash if
the discharge point is poorly positioned.
What happens if an object remains continuously inside the sensing area?
The faucet incorporates a default maximum washing period of
60 seconds. This limits prolonged discharge when hands, cleaning
equipment, or another object remain within the activation zone.
During commissioning, verify normal sensor response as well as
automatic termination of an extended activation cycle.
Can the faucet remain operational when the primary electrical supply is unavailable?
The Manilva supports DC6V operation with four AA alkaline
batteries as well as AC110–220V power. For commercial projects,
keep the power components accessible below the deck and establish
a maintenance procedure for battery inspection or replacement so
the electrical system does not become a hidden service point.
Which rough-in dimensions deserve attention before the countertop is drilled?
The faucet specifies a 32 mm mounting diameter and G1/2-inch
inlet/outlet connection. Confirm the deck opening against the
actual mounting hardware and maintain sufficient underside
clearance for the water connection, sensor wiring, power
components, and fastening assembly before countertop fabrication
is finalized.
