Fontana DSFD0024GS Vessel Sink and Chrome Touchless Sensor Faucet: Operating Pressure / Hydraulic Performance Diagram

This hydraulic-performance resource is intended to support plumbing engineers, contractors, installers, specifiers and maintenance personnel coordinating the Fontana DSFD0024GS vessel sink and chrome touchless sensor faucet combination. The drawing package communicates the recommended operating-pressure range, rated flow performance, hot and cold supply connections, filter / strainer protection, sensor-controlled solenoid operation, internal water passage and aerated outlet performance.

Fontana DSFD0024GS Hydraulic Performance & Water-Flow System

The DSFD0024GS touchless faucet receives hot and cold water through separate 1/2-inch supply connections. Water passes through the supply-control components, recommended filtration and sensor-controlled solenoid system before traveling through the faucet's internal passage to the aerated outlet. The technical drawing also provides working-pressure and rated-flow references for system coordination.

Required Hydraulic Performance Drawing Package

Each hydraulic coordination drawing should clearly identify the operating-pressure range, rated-flow reference, hot and cold supply connections, recommended strainer / filter, solenoid valve, control module, internal water path and outlet configuration. Actual system performance should be checked under installed operating conditions.

Operating Pressure / Hydraulic Performance Diagram

Provides the complete hydraulic relationship between the hot and cold supplies, filter / strainer, solenoid valve, electronic controller, internal faucet passage and aerated outlet.

System Flow Schematic

Shows the faucet and vessel-sink installation together with the principal dimensional references, including faucet height, spout reach, basin size and countertop thickness.

Operating Pressure Range

Identifies a recommended operating-pressure range of 0.5–7.0 KGS/cm², approximately 10–125 psi, for hydraulic coordination of the installed faucet system.

Flow Performance Chart

Illustrates the relationship between inlet pressure and faucet flow, with a rated reference of approximately 1.5 GPM (5.7 L/min.) at 60 psi (4.2 KGS/cm²).

Hot & Cold Supply Connections

Shows separate 1/2-inch hot and cold water connections feeding the touchless valve assembly beneath the countertop.

Filter / Strainer Protection

Identifies a recommended upstream filter or strainer to reduce debris entering the solenoid valve and internal faucet passages.

Sensor-Controlled Solenoid Valve

Shows the electrically controlled valve that opens or closes the water path in response to commands from the electronic controller.

Internal Water Path

Illustrates water moving from the solenoid assembly into the faucet body, upward through the internal passage and through the curved spout toward the outlet.

Aerated Outlet Performance

Identifies the aerated discharge point at the end of the spout and its relationship to the rated faucet flow shown in the performance chart.

Engineering note: The pressure, flow, dimensions and component relationships shown are technical coordination references based on the illustrated DSFD0024GS configuration. Actual site performance may vary with available dynamic pressure, supply piping, filtration condition, aerator configuration and installation conditions. Final hydraulic performance should be verified during commissioning using the actual installed faucet system.

Hydraulic, Supply and Flow Coordination Considerations

Dynamic Supply Pressure

Measure water pressure under flowing conditions whenever practical, since static pressure alone may not represent actual faucet performance during operation.

Hot & Cold Inlets

Confirm both 1/2-inch supply connections are correctly identified, fully open and free from restrictions before evaluating faucet flow.

Strainer Condition

Keep the recommended filter or strainer clean because accumulated debris can reduce flow and affect solenoid performance.

Solenoid Operation

Verify the solenoid opens fully when activated and closes reliably when the controller ends the water-flow command.

Internal Passage

Maintain clean internal water passages and avoid supply-line debris that could restrict the flow path between the valve assembly and faucet outlet.

Aerator Condition

Check the outlet aerator if flow decreases, as sediment or scale accumulation at the outlet can affect actual discharge performance.

Key Components & Water Path

1. Hot & Cold Supply

Separate hot and cold supply feeds provide water to the touchless faucet system through the illustrated 1/2-inch connections.

2. Filter / Strainer

A recommended upstream filter or strainer helps protect the solenoid valve and downstream water passages from debris.

3. Solenoid Valve

The sensor-controlled solenoid provides the primary opening and closing action for the water path.

4. Control Module

The electronic controller receives the infrared sensor signal and commands the solenoid valve during touchless operation.

5. Faucet Spout

Controlled water travels through the internal faucet passage and exits through the aerated spout outlet into the vessel basin.

Power System

The control system supports the AC 110 V or DC 6 V power arrangements shown in the DSFD0024GS technical package.

Hydraulic Performance & Commissioning Checks

Pressure Verification

Confirm installed operating pressure falls within the indicated working range and verify pressure during actual water flow where possible.

Flow Verification

Compare actual faucet discharge with the technical performance reference while accounting for available pressure, aerator condition and supply restrictions.

Supply-Line Check

Confirm hot and cold hoses are open, correctly connected and free of kinks or other restrictions that could reduce available flow.

Filter Inspection

Inspect and clean upstream strainers before diagnosing low flow as a controller, valve or faucet-body problem.

Touchless Flow Test

Activate the faucet through the sensor and confirm stable water delivery, proper solenoid response and automatic shutoff.

Leak Inspection

Inspect supply hoses, valve connections and faucet inlet points while the system is pressurized and operating.

Performance Notes

Professional Plumbing and Engineering References

Project verification: Hydraulic performance drawings are technical coordination tools and do not replace approved project submittals or manufacturer instructions. The architect, plumbing engineer, contractor and licensed installer should verify available dynamic water pressure, hot and cold inlet connections, filtration, solenoid operation, controller configuration, aerator type, outlet flow, supply piping and locally adopted plumbing requirements before final installation and commissioning.
