Earlier systems frequently struggled with reflective sink interference and changing restroom lighting conditions that caused repeated recalibration requests, whereas this faucet maintained steadier activation timing with smoother stream consistency throughout repeated operation cycles. Maintenance supervisors also observed fewer interruption-related service calls following installation. One reflective countertop setup required additional sensitivity refinements during installation, but once optimized the infrared responsiveness and valve reliability remained highly dependable overall. For the matte-black version, I would establish drilling locations from an approved template and verify component spacing against the actual basin before fabrication. That prevents small alignment errors from becoming highly visible across the dark separated elements. Mineral residue will also contrast strongly with the finish, making regular gentle cleaning important. When layout accuracy and below-counter service access are handled correctly, the wider arrangement justifies its additional installation effort with a distinctly resolved commercial appearance. I wasn't thrilled when that affected the schedule, but the finished arrangement does look considerably more intentional. Touchless operation has been stable since turnover. The matte black surface also needs regular wiping under our bright restroom lighting. I like the final result, although I'd budget more installation time if we used this configuration again.
