Fontana Matte Black Commercial Bathroom Automatic Touchless Sensor Faucet is also extremely durable, so you can be confident that it will last for many years. And because they have sensors, these faucets are very easy to use, which is important in a busy commercial setting. So if you are looking for a high-quality, stylish, and easy-to-use sensor faucet, consider a Matte Black commercial sensor faucet. The faucet supports commercial power architectures, including hardwired AC with battery backup or low-voltage DC input, to maintain uptime during peak usage and power interruptions.
Fontana Matte Black Bathroom Automatic Touchless Sensor Faucet FAQ
16–32 cm Self-Adapting Detection, 1.2 GPM Flow;
Below-Deck Mixing & 30-Second Automatic Timeout
The Fontana FS2070-MB combines self-adapting infrared sensing,
brass construction, AC/DC power, and controlled 1.2 GPM
commercial water delivery.
What makes the 16–32 cm sensor field suitable for different basin conditions?
The adjustable sensing range allows the faucet to be commissioned
around the final basin, countertop, mirror, and lighting conditions.
Test hand entry at multiple positions within the 16–32 cm zone and
confirm reliable activation without response from the basin surface
or nearby reflective objects.
When does the 30-second automatic timeout become important?
The factory-set 30-second timeout limits continuous water discharge
when an object remains inside the detection field. During commissioning,
maintain a target in front of the sensor and verify automatic interruption
at approximately 30 seconds, then confirm normal operation resumes
during the next valid activation cycle.
What hydraulic checks protect the 1.2 GPM valve system?
Flush the G1/2-inch supply path before final connection and verify
approximately 1.2 GPM or 4.54 L/min at 60 PSI. Inspect the quick-connect
fittings, integrated shutoff, and internal flow path if discharge becomes
unstable. Clean supply water helps preserve the motor valve through
its rated service life of up to approximately 500,000 cycles.
Where should the below-deck mixer and AC/DC controls remain accessible?
Keep the manual temperature mixer, box transformer, DC battery circuit,
sensor wiring, and valve components accessible below the countertop.
Confirm both power paths during commissioning and verify stable mixed
water delivery through repeated activations. The battery system is
specified for approximately 100,000 operating cycles.
