Installation Drawings

motorized valve and dual AC/DC power capability support reliable
hands-free operation in high-traffic commercial washrooms.

Required Installation Drawing Package
Each drawing should use a consistent scale, dimension style and product
identification block. Measurements should be referenced from the finished
countertop, faucet centerline and water outlet centerline. Drawings should
also identify the basin, mounting opening, sensor field, G1/2-inch water
connection, electronic control module and required service clearance.
Standard Installation Drawing
Shows the complete installed arrangement, including the faucet,
countertop, lavatory basin, mounting hardware, water supply,
electronic control module and power connection. This drawing gives
contractors an overall reference before reviewing the individual
dimensional and connection details.
Dimension Drawing
Presents the principal faucet measurements needed for architectural
elevations, plumbing coordination drawings, project submittals and
shop drawings. It should identify the overall height, body width,
spout reach, outlet height, mounting base and countertop clearance.
Front Elevation
Displays the faucet as viewed by the user and identifies the overall
height, body centerline, sensor position, outlet location and
alignment with the basin. This view helps maintain consistent fixture
spacing across multi-station commercial lavatories.
Side Elevation
Illustrates the faucet projection, spout reach, outlet height and
relationship to the basin. This view is important for evaluating
water delivery, splash control, backsplash clearance, user reach and
hand placement within the sensor field.
Top Plan View
Defines the faucet footprint and horizontal relationship to the basin
centerline and countertop edge. The plan view helps prevent conflicts
with soap dispensers, backsplash elements, mirrors and adjacent
fixtures.
Overall Dimensions
Summarizes the complete faucet width, height, projection and mounting
footprint in one quick-reference drawing. Imperial and metric
dimensions should be provided for specification packages, BIM
coordination and international projects.
Spout Reach and Clearance
Identifies the horizontal distance from the faucet centerline to the
aerator outlet. The outlet should discharge into the basin’s usable
capture area without directing water onto the rear wall, countertop
or front rim.
Sensor Location and Detection Zone
Identifies the infrared sensor window and illustrates the adjustable
16–32 cm hand-detection field. The drawing should account for the
basin profile, backsplash and reflective accessories that could cause
false activation.
Engineering note: Do not add estimated product dimensions
to construction documents. Final measurements must be taken from the
approved FontanaShowers specification sheet, installation instructions or
project submittal package before countertop openings and utility locations
are established.
Architectural and MEP Coordination Considerations
Lavatory Alignment
Position the faucet outlet over the basin’s usable capture area to
control splash and prevent water from contacting the countertop or
front rim.
Countertop Opening
Coordinate the single-hole mounting opening with the faucet base,
mounting hardware, countertop thickness and available undercounter
clearance.
Sensor Commissioning
Adjust and test the 16–32 cm sensor field after the basin,
backsplash, mirror and surrounding restroom accessories have been
installed.
Power Coordination
Confirm whether the installation will use 220–240V AC power or 6V
DC battery power and coordinate all concealed electrical components
accordingly.
Water Connection
Provide an accessible G1/2-inch water connection, service stop and
inlet filtration arrangement while preserving sufficient clearance
for commissioning.
Service Access
Maintain access to the control module, motorized valve, batteries,
filter, wiring and water connections without removing permanent
countertop or wall finishes.
