Fontana Texas Commercial Chrome Touch-Free Sensor Faucet
Infrared Signal Stability, Commercial Solenoid Control & Dynamic Pressure Management
Engineered for high-use commercial washrooms, this chrome sensor faucet combines automatic infrared activation with controlled water delivery for reliable touch-free operation.
How should the infrared detection field be validated for reliable commercial operation?
Final validation should be performed with the basin and countertop completely installed. The sensor must recognize hands throughout the intended washing zone while excluding stationary reflective surfaces that could generate persistent infrared returns, false activation, or delayed automatic shutoff.
How does solenoid response consistency affect high-cycle faucet performance?
The solenoid converts each electronic detection command into hydraulic opening and closure. Consistent movement and positive valve seating minimize activation delay and residual discharge, while contamination at the sealing interface can cause irregular flow, dripping, or incomplete shutoff after repeated operating cycles.
Why should dynamic pressure be tested during simultaneous fixture operation?
Multiple fixtures operating on the same branch increase water velocity and friction losses through piping, fittings, stops, and strainers. Measuring dynamic pressure under representative peak demand confirms that adequate hydraulic energy reaches the faucet for stable discharge during actual building operation.
What preventive service helps maintain dependable touch-free performance?
Technicians should periodically clean the infrared sensor window, inspect inlet filtration for sediment, verify secure power connections, and perform repeated activation cycles. Any delayed closure should prompt inspection of the solenoid seat and waterway before electronic components are replaced.
