Fontana Lucca Vessel Sink Touchless Faucet FAQ
Vessel Basin Hydraulics, ToF Motion Detection & Wall-Mounted Commissioning
The Fontana Lucca Brushed Gold touchless faucet is engineered for
premium vessel sink installations, combining a waterfall outlet,
Time-of-Flight motion sensing, concealed wall mounting, and precision
ceramic valve technology for luxury commercial and residential
applications.
Why is vessel sink height critical when commissioning a wall-mounted waterfall faucet?
The wall outlet should be positioned so the waterfall stream enters near the vessel's hydraulic center without striking the rim. Proper vertical spacing minimizes splashback, preserves the laminar sheet of water, and improves user hand clearance above the basin.
How does Time-of-Flight sensing improve reliability around elevated vessel basins?
The ToF controller measures actual hand distance rather than relying solely on reflected infrared intensity. This provides consistent activation despite highly reflective vessel finishes, decorative stone surfaces, and varying countertop materials while significantly reducing false triggering.
What installation practice ensures stable waterfall discharge from the 3.43-inch outlet?
The concealed rough-in valve should be perfectly level before the trim and spout are installed. Proper alignment distributes water evenly across the waterfall opening, maintaining a smooth sheet of flow and reducing hydraulic turbulence throughout the discharge cycle.
How should engineers verify long-term serviceability before project turnover?
Flush the concealed supply piping, pressure-test the ceramic valve, confirm AC/DC power operation, verify repeated automatic activation and shutoff, and ensure future access to the rough-in valve for maintenance without disturbing the finished architectural wall.
