Fontana Chrome Sensor Faucet with Hole Cover Plate FAQ
16–32 cm Adaptive Sensing, 6.4-Inch Cover Plate;
Hygienic Line Flush & Below-Deck Mixing
The Fontana FS145179 integrates a hole-cover plate, self-adapting
sensor, brass construction, AC/DC power, and below-deck
temperature mixing for commercial lavatories.
What installation problem does the 6.4-inch hole-cover plate solve?
The approximately 6.4-inch-wide by 2.8-inch-deep plate provides a
finished interface around the single-hole faucet body and can conceal
unused or oversized deck penetrations from previous faucet layouts.
Confirm that the plate fully covers the existing openings while
maintaining a flat sealing surface and adequate underside clearance
for the mounting assembly.
Why is hygienic line flushing useful after periods of low restroom activity?
The hygienic line-flush function supports periodic movement of water
through the faucet's supply path rather than allowing water to remain
stagnant indefinitely. During commissioning, verify that the controller,
shutoff, supply hoses, and drainage arrangement can accommodate the
programmed flushing behavior without creating basin splash or
unintended overflow conditions.
Can the 16–32 cm sensor field accommodate different basin materials?
Yes. The sensing distance is adjustable from approximately 16 to
32 cm, and the self-adapting sensor is intended to accommodate varying
lavatory conditions. Complete final adjustment after the basin,
countertop, mirror, and lighting are installed, then confirm opening
in less than approximately one second without nuisance activation
from reflective surfaces.
Which components deserve priority during long-term service planning?
Preserve access to the box transformer, battery supply, below-deck
manual mixing valve, integrated water shutoff, quick-connect fittings,
and controller. The motor valve is rated for up to approximately
500,000 cycles and the battery system for approximately 100,000 cycles.
Battery-strength reporting can assist maintenance teams in identifying
declining power before operation becomes unreliable.
