Fontana Chrome 3-Function Thermostatic Mixer FAQ
Three-Way Push Control, 38°C Safety Stop & Concealed Valve Commissioning
This chrome wall-mounted shower mixer combines a solid brass concealed valve,
automatic thermostatic regulation, and three independently controlled water outlets.
How should the three concealed outlets be assigned during rough-in?
Route and label each outlet for its designated rainfall, hand-shower, or tub-spout function, then verify that each push control activates the correct branch before waterproofing.
How should the 38°C thermostatic safety stop be calibrated?
Run the mixer until the discharge temperature stabilizes, measure the outlet at the 38°C reference position, and realign the temperature handle if the measured value differs from the indexed setting.
How should inactive-outlet isolation be tested?
Activate each shower function separately under normal supply pressure and confirm that the two inactive branches remain sealed without dripping, cross-flow, or pressure-induced discharge.
Which concealed components require testing before wall closure?
Pressure-test the hot and cold inlets, solid brass valve body, thermostatic cartridge chamber, three push-control seals, and every outlet connection while the rough-in remains fully accessible.
