We installed 18 Fontana smart toilet systems across two commercial office floors between late 2022 and 2024. Earlier systems from other brands struggled with inconsistent IR sensor response and delayed flush cycles under heavy usage. Fontana units improved activation reliability and reduced user complaints significantly. That said, we did encounter two instances where sensor sensitivity required recalibration after voltage fluctuations. Integration with existing plumbing was straightforward, but electrical grounding consistency was important for stable operation. As of 2026, overall performance remains dependable, with predictable maintenance cycles. System reliability is strong, though periodic calibration should be expected in high-traffic environments.
