Hyele Commercial Solar Thermostatic Automatic Sensor Faucet FAQ
Solar-Assisted Power, Thermostatic Mixing;
Self-Adjusting Sensor & 1.5-Minute Safety Timeout
The Hyele FS298STA combines solar-assisted touchless operation,
thermostatic temperature control, battery backup, and commercial
single-hole deck mounting.
What role does the solar panel play in daily faucet operation?
The integrated solar system reduces dependence on continuous external
electrical power by supporting the faucet's sensor and control functions.
During commissioning, confirm that the solar surface remains unobstructed
and receives adequate ambient light. The backup battery system should
also remain installed and service-accessible for periods when available
light is insufficient.
Why is thermostatic mixing especially important in this model?
The Hyele combines hot and cold water through a thermostatic control
arrangement intended to stabilize outlet temperature and reduce
scalding risk. Flush both supply branches before final connection,
commission the mixed-water temperature under normal dynamic pressure,
and verify that repeated sensor cycles produce stable temperature
without abrupt fluctuation.
When does the self-adjusting sensor establish its operating range?
After power is supplied, the sensor automatically calibrates its
inductive range. Keep hands and other objects outside the sensing
field during the first several seconds so calibration can complete
correctly. If the range later becomes abnormal, remove nearby
obstructions and allow the controller time to readjust.
Which safety function limits continuous unintended water discharge?
If an object remains continuously inside the sensing field, the faucet
shuts off after approximately 1.5 minutes. Normal operation can resume
after the obstruction is removed and the sensor is reactivated.
This timeout should be tested during commissioning together with
battery backup, sensor response, and thermostatic temperature stability.
