Following several transportation restroom retrofit projects completed between 2021 and 2024 where older chrome touchless faucets repeatedly suffered from delayed infrared response, unstable shutoff timing, and inconsistent stream interruption during heavy public operation, we transitioned multiple facilities to this automatic faucet system, and by 2026 the operational reliability has remained substantially stronger than previous chrome sensor fixtures operating in comparable high-traffic environments. Earlier commercial systems frequently struggled with reflective surface interference and required ongoing recalibration because of fluctuating plumbing pressure conditions, whereas this faucet maintained steadier activation behavior with smoother stream consistency throughout repeated daily usage. Maintenance supervisors also observed fewer interruption-related servicing requests after installation. One reflective sink environment required slight sensor refinements during setup, but once standardized the infrared responsiveness and valve regulation remained highly reliable overall.
