The Fontana Dax™ Chrome Commercial Sensor Faucet combines touchless
motion activation, commercial-duty water control, and a contemporary
deck-mounted design for high-traffic washrooms.
How should the motion-sensor activation zone be commissioned?
Complete commissioning after the basin, countertop, mirror, lighting,
and surrounding restroom accessories are installed. Test repeated
hand-entry and withdrawal cycles from normal washing positions and
verify reliable automatic activation and complete shutoff. Reflective
surfaces should also be checked for unintended sensor triggering.
How should operation across the 10–125 PSI pressure range be checked?
Flush the supply piping before final connection and verify that dynamic
pressure remains within the specified 10–125 PSI range. Perform repeated
activation cycles and confirm stable discharge. If flow becomes weak or
irregular, inspect the supply valves, hoses, inlet passages, solenoid
water path, and outlet before replacing electronic sensor components.
What should be checked if automatic activation or shutoff becomes inconsistent?
First clean the sensor window and confirm that mirrors or nearby reflective
materials are not interfering with detection. Then inspect the power
connections, sensor wiring, solenoid valve, and hydraulic path. If the
sensor responds normally but water continues flowing or responds slowly,
troubleshoot the valve and water-control components separately from the
sensing electronics.
How should the Chrome finish and sensor area be maintained?
Clean the exposed Chrome surfaces with a soft damp microfiber cloth and
dry them after cleaning. Keep the infrared sensor window and water outlet
free from soap film and mineral deposits. Avoid abrasive pads, steel wool,
acidic descalers, bleach, ammonia, and aggressive metal polish that may
scratch or dull the Chrome surface.
