Fontana Acri Chrome Touchless Swan Faucet FAQ
ToF Sensor Detection, High-Endurance Solenoid;
Hot/Cold Blending & Swan-Neck Basin Geometry
The Fontana Acri FS7944CH integrates ToF touchless sensing,
brass construction, hot/cold delivery, and sculptural
swan geometry in a single-hole deck-mounted format.
What advantage does the ToF sensor array provide during hands-free operation?
Time-of-Flight sensing evaluates the position of an approaching
target rather than relying solely on conventional reflected-light
intensity. Commission the faucet after the basin, countertop,
lighting, and mirror are installed, then test normal hand-entry
positions to confirm dependable activation without unwanted
triggering from surrounding surfaces.
Why does the Acri's swan profile require careful basin placement?
The elevated curved outlet creates generous hand clearance but also
makes discharge alignment important. Position the single deck opening
so the stream lands comfortably inside the bowl rather than near its
front or rear edge. Basin depth, backsplash clearance, and the user's
natural hand-washing position should all be checked before final
countertop drilling.
Which conditions help preserve the high-endurance solenoid assembly?
Clean supply piping and controlled inlet conditions are important
for consistent solenoid operation. Flush both water branches before
connection so construction debris does not enter the internal flow
path. During commissioning, perform repeated activation and shutoff
cycles and investigate delayed closure, restricted discharge, or
irregular valve noise before project turnover.
Does hot-and-cold blending require additional commissioning?
Yes. Because the Acri supports both hot and cold water, verify the
mixed-water condition under actual dynamic supply pressure rather
than relying only on static pressure readings. Repeated touchless
cycles should produce stable outlet temperature without noticeable
fluctuation, while below-deck connections should remain accessible
for future balancing and maintenance.
