Fontana Dijon Oil Rubbed Bronze Sensor Faucet FAQ
Time-of-Flight Detection, AI Calibration & Commercial Serviceability
The Fontana Dijon Oil Rubbed Bronze wall-mounted commercial sensor faucet
combines Time-of-Flight sensing, AI-controlled infrared detection,
multi-voltage AC/DC operation, and vandal-resistant brass construction
for dependable hands-free performance in demanding public restroom
environments.
How does the Time-of-Flight sensing system improve activation accuracy over conventional infrared sensors?
The ToF controller measures the actual distance to the user's hands instead of relying only on reflected infrared intensity. This minimizes false activations caused by glossy wall finishes, dark basins, ambient lighting variations, and reflective countertops while maintaining consistent response speed.
Why should both AC and DC operating modes be validated during final commissioning?
The faucet supports hardwired multi-voltage power together with DC battery backup. Testing both operating modes confirms uninterrupted sensor functionality during power interruptions while verifying identical valve response, detection accuracy, and automatic shutoff performance.
How does the self-adjusting AI sensor contribute to long-term commercial reliability?
The embedded AI smart-chip continuously compensates for lavatory color, surface reflectivity, and environmental conditions to maintain a stable detection field. This adaptive calibration reduces maintenance visits while ensuring dependable operation throughout heavy daily usage.
What preventive maintenance should facility engineers perform during scheduled inspections?
Inspect the G1/2 inlet connections, flush inlet strainers, clean the sensor window, verify solenoid response through repeated activation cycles, and confirm leak-free concealed piping. Routine inspections preserve hydraulic efficiency and maximize the valve's extended service life.
