AutoStream's champagne finish gives the fixture a warmer and quieter appearance than polished gold, making it easier to integrate with stone, warm lighting, and hospitality-oriented interiors. The potential mistake would be treating the finish as the entire specification. For an automatic faucet, users will remember poor activation far sooner than they remember a sophisticated metallic tone. I would therefore judge the completed installation by repeated ordinary hand movements: water should arrive naturally, remain stable while washing, and stop promptly when hands leave. Champagne also deserves a clearly defined cleaning method so housekeeping does not resort to aggressive chemicals when mineral residue appears. When operation and maintenance are treated with the same care as appearance, the premium finish feels justified rather than superficial.

The plumber spent noticeably longer on the first faucet than we had allowed for, mostly getting the sensor and connections checked before turnover. I wasn't thrilled about the delay, but once he had one completed the remaining installations moved along much faster. We've had no significant issues since then. The sensor responds consistently and the chrome is easy to maintain. I'd use these again, but wouldn't schedule the first installation quite as tightly next time.
