Fontana Marseille Vibrant Polished Nickel Rain Shower Head FAQ
1.75 GPM Verification, NPT Joint Testing & Spray-Field Commissioning
This vibrant polished nickel 8-inch round rain shower head combines
durable brass construction, a water-efficient 1.75 GPM single-function
rain spray, Katalyst air-induction technology, a MasterClean spray face,
and a standard 1/2-inch NPT connection.
How should the shower branch be flushed before installing the finished head?
Remove the shower head and flush the branch until construction
debris, solder residue, loose scale, and excess thread-sealing
material are completely discharged. Inspect the shower-arm outlet
and 1/2-inch NPT threads before final fixture installation.
How should the 1/2-inch NPT connection be sealed and commissioned?
Inspect both threaded surfaces, apply approved thread-sealing
material sparingly, and engage the connection without cross-threading.
Tighten without transferring excessive torque to the brass inlet,
then pressure-test the completed joint for seepage.
How should the specified 1.75 GPM discharge be field-verified?
Stabilize the operating pressure, purge entrained air, and conduct
a timed volumetric test at the shower head. Reduced delivery may
indicate branch-line pressure loss, construction debris, mineral
restriction, or obstruction at the internal flow-control component.
What confirms balanced operation across the MasterClean spray face?
Verify uniform discharge across the complete 8-inch nozzle field
without inactive outlets, isolated weak zones, pulsing, lateral
jetting, or irregular droplet formation. Uneven coverage normally
requires branch flushing or localized nozzle cleaning.
