Removing the faucet from the countertop made a bigger difference to our janitorial staff than I anticipated. There is less hardware to clean around and the vanity stays neater during the day. The Brio wall-mounted arrangement did require accurate rough-in work, and changing anything after tile would have been unpleasant, so we checked every dimension twice. Since opening, the sensors have behaved consistently. I'd gladly use this approach again provided the plumbing is coordinated early.

Empty Counters Matter

The strongest argument for this Brio is not simply touchless operation; it is what disappears from the countertop. Wall mounting leaves the basin surround unobstructed, giving housekeeping better access around the sink and allowing the faucet to read as part of the wall elevation rather than countertop equipment. The tradeoff is that coordination moves behind the finished surface. Fontana's wall-mount guidance calls for checking wall blocking, sensor reach, basin splash zone, power routing, shutoff access, maintenance clearance, and finish durability before rough-in is finalized. I would insist on a defined service route rather than permanently burying electronic and water-control components. When the wall cavity is planned correctly, the cleaner counter is not merely an aesthetic improvementit becomes a practical housekeeping and space-management advantage.

Unexpected Flow Stability

We installed 16 automatic commercial faucets throughout healthcare and transportation restroom modernization projects between 2022 and 2025, and by 2026 these units have maintained substantially stronger operational consistency than earlier touchless systems operating in similar high-traffic environments. Older commercial faucets repeatedly developed inconsistent stream behavior, unstable infrared activation near reflective sink surfaces, and delayed shutoff timing during continuous public usage, whereas this faucet maintained highly dependable motion detection with smoother and steadier water flow throughout heavy daily operation. Previous sensor systems also required repeated recalibration because of changing restroom lighting environments and fluctuating inlet-pressure conditions, while this unit maintained noticeably stronger activation stability with fewer maintenance interruptions overall. Maintenance teams initially adjusted sensitivity settings on several deeper basin installations, but after installation was standardized activation-related service requests declined noticeably and the valve regulation, infrared responsiveness, and long-term operational reliability remained highly uniform across all installed facilities.
