Fontana Commercial Chrome Touch-Free Sensor Faucet FAQ
16–32 cm Adjustable Detection, <0.7 s Response;
G1/2" Plumbing & 500,000-Cycle Valve Life
The Fontana FS10141 combines adjustable infrared sensing,
solid-brass construction, AC/DC power, and commercial
single-hole deck mounting.
What makes the 27 cm factory sensor setting a useful commissioning baseline?
The installation guidance lists a factory sensing distance near
27 cm ±10%, while the engineering specification allows adjustment
within approximately 16–32 cm. Start near the factory value, then
refine the field after the basin, mirror, lighting, and countertop
finishes are installed to avoid nuisance activation.
Why must the supply line be flushed before connecting the control box?
Construction debris can restrict the G1/2-inch hydraulic path or
interfere with the motor valve. Flush the pipework before final
connection, then run the faucet again after installation to clear
residual particles. Stable water quality helps preserve fast response
and consistent shutoff throughout commercial service.
Which under-counter components need clear maintenance access?
Keep the control box, battery pack, sensor cable, flexible hose,
inlet connection, outlet connection, and hot/cold regulator accessible.
The flexible hose should not kink, twist, or bend sharply, and the
control box should remain reachable without removing the faucet
or finished countertop.
When should valve timing and lifecycle performance be checked?
Final commissioning should verify opening in less than approximately
one second and closing within about two seconds through repeated
activation cycles. The motor valve is rated for up to 500,000 cycles,
while the battery system is rated for approximately 100,000 cycles,
making early response changes useful maintenance indicators.
