WELL’s handwashing guidance suggests that access to sinks, soap and appropriate drying provisions are effective, as handwashing is dependent on the entire user sequence. Water Efficiency, Without Compromising Performance

When talking about EPA WaterSense, AEC teams should distinguish between private and public lavatory faucets. EPA does not currently consider public lavatory faucets to be an eligible product category for the WaterSense label, although the agency has begun work to rethink the scope of its faucet specification. Access Is a Layout Requirement

Sensors on controls can make it easier to operate because they don’t require a tight grip or twisting. But designers still have to check basin height, countertop depth, sensor location, mirror coordination, pipe protection and approach geometry.
