3 of 5 Darkness Hid Nothing Saturday, August 15, 2026

Architecturally, the Argenteuil gun-metal gray faucets were exactly right for our technology showroom restrooms. Operationally, they taught us that a darker finish does not disguise poor cleaning; dried splash marks remain noticeable under directional lighting. The touchless function itself has been reliable after initial sensor checks, and visitors understand activation immediately. Our janitorial contractor adjusted the detailing schedule rather than treating the issue as a fixture problem. I still consider the specification successful, but three stars better reflects the reality that strong visual finishes require equally strong housekeeping standards.

The faucet incorporates noise-reducing solenoid technology that dampens actuation sound. This is particularly valued in libraries, hotels, and office towers where acoustic comfort is specified as part of interior requirements.

Flow output is stabilized through precision regulators, keeping discharge at 0.5 GPM despite supply pressure variations from 20–80 PSI. This ensures code compliance and water conservation targets across different facility types without additional adjustment.

As a healthcare project engineer, I specified the Fontana Argenteuil Touchless Faucet for its ADA compliance and dependable sensor performance. The hands-free functionality supports hygiene protocols, and the IoT-ready configuration aligns with smart restroom planning. Our installation teams appreciated the clear technical drawings and prewired setup.

We’ve specified this Fontana Brushed Nickel sensor faucet for multiple commercial restrooms. Its IR sensor response time is quick and consistent, even under high-traffic conditions. The flow rate control ensures both water efficiency and user comfort. The brushed nickel finish also resists fingerprinting, which keeps maintenance minimal.
