The reason I agreed to a wall-mounted faucet was pretty simple: our cleaning crew was tired of working around faucet bases and tight spaces on the countertop. That part has worked exactly as hoped. Wiping down the sink area is faster and the finished restroom looks less cluttered. Our contractor did have to be precise with the wall location before closing everything up. Since opening, though, the motion sensor has been dependable and we've had no maintenance calls for it.

VividTap earns attention primarily because wall mounting changes the entire basin area. Removing the faucet body from the counter creates more usable space and makes routine wiping considerably easier, especially around undermount or integrated commercial basins. The trade-off is that construction tolerances matter more. I would settle outlet height, projection, finished-wall thickness, basin position, and the route to serviceable components before closing the wall rather than trying to correct them afterward. Chrome is a sensible choice for this arrangement because the visible portion remains understated and coordinates easily with standard commercial hardware. Once the rough-in is handled properly, the finished result can look remarkably simple�exactly what a well-planned wall-mounted sensor faucet should achieve.
