Fontana Rio Deck Mount Chrome Commercial Automatic Sensor Faucet
28–32 cm Sensor Calibration, <0.7s Switching & Low-Power Commercial Control
Engineered for commercial washrooms, the Rio integrates adjustable infrared sensing, rapid valve switching, low-power electronics, and flexible AC/DC operation.
How does the 28–32 cm adjustable sensing range improve detection-zone commissioning?
The 28–32 cm adjustable sensing range provides a defined calibration window for aligning infrared activation with the installed basin geometry. During commissioning, the detection envelope can be coordinated with faucet setback and the normal handwashing zone, helping maintain responsive activation without unnecessarily extending sensing toward surrounding fixtures or reflective surfaces.
What does the <0.7-second switching time contribute to commercial faucet performance?
A switching response below 0.7 seconds enables the control system to translate hand detection into water delivery with minimal perceptible delay. In high-traffic washrooms, rapid valve response improves user interaction while supporting tighter control of discharge duration between successive activations, reducing unnecessary water run time during repetitive operating cycles.
How do the <60 µA operating demand and <0.5W overall consumption affect electrical specification?
The low electrical demand reduces the continuous load imposed by the sensing and control electronics. With 110–220V AC or 6V battery operation available, designers can coordinate the faucet with hardwired or battery-supported installations, while the red LED low-battery indicator provides a visible maintenance signal before battery performance becomes inadequate.
How should the DN15 (G1/2") connection and 500,000-cycle rating influence lifecycle planning?
The DN15 (G1/2") supply connection provides a defined interface for plumbing rough-in, while the specified 500,000 on/off lifecycle establishes a measurable durability benchmark for the automatic control assembly. Together, these characteristics support coordinated installation and lifecycle planning for facilities expecting frequent daily sensor activation.
