Fontana Rouen Brushed Gold Touchless Automatic Faucet FAQ
16–32 cm Adjustable Detection, 2 GPM Flow;
4.92-Inch Reach & 500,000-Cycle Valve
The Fontana Rouen FS6107-S-BG combines infrared touchless control,
brass construction, dual AC/DC power, and compact commercial
deck-mounted geometry.
Which basin dimensions best match the 4.92-inch Rouen spout projection?
Coordinate the 4.92-inch reach and 3.93-inch outlet height with the
completed bowl before drilling the deck. The discharge should land
inside the primary washing zone without striking a steep rear wall.
Compact or shallow basins should be tested under live flow to verify
acceptable splash control.
What makes the 16–32 cm detection range useful during final commissioning?
The adjustable field allows the sensor to be tuned around the actual
basin, countertop, mirror, lighting, and surrounding finishes. Use
the shortest distance that reliably detects normal hand entry while
avoiding the drain, backsplash, or reflective surfaces that could
trigger unintended activation.
Why does the 2 GPM hydraulic path need flushing before startup?
Construction debris, sealant residue, and pipe scale can restrict the
G1/2-inch water path or interfere with automatic valve closure.
Flush the supply before final connection, then verify stable 2 GPM
discharge, clean shutoff, and leak-free fittings under normal
dynamic pressure.
When should the 500,000-cycle valve and AC/DC backup be performance-tested?
Test both mains and battery operation during final commissioning.
Opening should occur in less than approximately one second and
closing within approximately two seconds. The motor valve is rated
for up to 500,000 cycles, so clean water, stable pressure, and
accessible power components support long-term commercial service.
