Fontana Chatou Oil Rubbed Bronze Rain Shower Head FAQ
1.75 GPM Validation, NPT Joint Sealing & Spray-Face Commissioning
This oil rubbed bronze 8-inch round rain shower head combines brass
construction, a water-efficient 1.75 GPM single-function spray,
Katalyst air-induction technology, a MasterClean spray face, and
a standard 1/2-inch NPT connection.
How should the concealed shower-arm connection be prepared?
Confirm the drop-ear elbow is rigidly anchored, perpendicular to
the finished wall, and positioned at the specified projection.
Flush the branch line, inspect the 1/2-inch NPT threads, and apply
approved sealant without obstructing the shower-head inlet.
How should the specified 1.75 GPM flow rate be verified?
Stabilize the operating pressure, purge trapped air, and perform
a timed volumetric test at the shower head. Reduced delivery may
indicate branch-line pressure loss, construction debris, mineral
restriction, or blockage at the flow-control component.
What confirms balanced distribution across the 8-inch spray face?
Verify uniform discharge across the complete nozzle field without
inactive outlets, isolated weak zones, lateral jetting, pulsing,
or uneven droplet formation. Irregular coverage normally requires
branch-line flushing or spray-face cleaning.
How should the oil rubbed bronze finish and MasterClean outlets be maintained?
Clean the finished surface with a soft cloth and neutral
nonabrasive solution. Gently loosen mineral deposits from the
flexible outlets and flush afterward. Avoid acidic chemicals,
abrasive pads, metal tools, and concentrated descaling agents.
