The Sensor Faucet is an electronically controlled faucet that eliminates the need to touch or turn handles. Insight technology calibrates the sensor to filter false triggers and optimize the faucet's operation. Through the use of sensor beams, the automatic faucet determines when an object is in front of it and automatically turns on the faucet.
Since there is nothing to touch and nothing to reach for, an automatic faucet eliminates all of that cleaning and disinfecting that you do to try to maintain a hygienic surface. Brushed Nickel bathroom sensor faucets are anti-erosion, anti-abrasion, and high strength. This is a trim set only. It requires a valve kit to complete the faucet. Insight™ infrared activation, controlled 0.5 GPM delivery,
and hybrid or AC-powered commercial operation.
Where should the 9-inch spout projection land relative to the drain?
Coordinate the fixed wall outlet with the completed sink before
closing the wall. Fontana recommends horizontally aligning the
spout with the drain centerline and positioning it approximately
7–10 inches vertically above the drain. Verify the actual water
strike point against bowl depth and geometry to minimize splash.
What must remain clear during the 60-second sensor calibration?
Open the water supply and make sure the sink is completely clean
and free of objects before connecting the sensor cable. Once the
cable is connected, allow approximately 60 seconds for calibration.
Keeping objects outside the sensing field during this period helps
the Insight™ system establish reliable activation conditions.
Why does the 0.5 GPM vandal-resistant aerator matter in commercial use?
The specified 0.5 GPM flow rate limits water demand while the
vandal-resistant aerator protects the outlet component in public
installations. During commissioning, confirm that the stream remains
coherent across the nine-inch projection and lands within the
intended washing zone without excessive backsplash.
Which components should remain accessible behind or below the wall?
Maintain service access to the control box, sensor cable, flexible
hose, 1/2-inch BSP supply connection, power supply, and backup
battery pack. The faucet can use a hybrid-power or AC valve kit,
while four AA batteries provide backup operation if mains power
is interrupted.
