Mounting & Rough-Ins. Deck-mount models typically require a single 1-3/8" (35 mm) hole; wall-mount spouts coordinate with concealed valve boxes. Allow service access to the control box and mixing valve.
Power Options. Battery (4×AA or 6 V pack), plug-in AC with adapter, or hardwired 110–240 V via low-voltage power supply. Provide a non-switched receptacle when using adapters; confirm one power drop per faucet unless using a multi-port supply.
Water Tempering. Choose single-temperature (premixed) or add a thermostatic mixing valve (ASSE 1070) for user-safe delivery. For multi-basin runs, consider a central TMV with balancing.
Sensor & Commissioning. Factory presets suit most lavatories (activation ~2–5 in / 50–130 mm). Verify detection with basin material/finish; adjust range and timeout on the control box if required.
Plumbing Connections. Standard 1/2" NPT or G1/2 flexible hoses. Use isolation stops for maintenance; include check valves to prevent cross-flow on mixed-temperature installations.
High-Traffic Features. IP-rated electronics, anti-vandal aerators, auto-flush to mitigate stagnation, and low-lead compliance. Specify 0.35–1.5 GPM aerators per water-efficiency goals.
