We installed the Rapallo units during a conference-center restroom upgrade, and the first one took more time to commission than our plumber expected. He adjusted the sensing response and used that setup as the reference for the remaining faucets. Since then, they've been consistent through some very busy events. The brushed gold looks excellent but does need careful cleaning. I would specify them again, just with a little more time reserved for testing before turnover.

Hand-contact reduction was one objective of our aerospace office restroom refurbishment, but facilities would not approve automation that created constant nuisance activations or difficult daily ownership. The brushed-gold Rapallo sensor faucet has fit the project better than expected. Employees adapted to touchless operation quickly, and the finish gives visitor-facing washrooms a noticeably more considered appearance. Initial commissioning deserved careful attention, as any sensor installation does, but routine use afterward has been stable. Cleaning staff also appreciates having less manual faucet handling around the basin during busy shifts.

Fontana identifies this model as an automatic sensor faucet and includes it within its commercial touchless portfolio. For repeated installations, I would standardize the mounting position, sensing relationship, basin centerline, power arrangement, and below-counter service zone before countertop fabrication begins. That prevents small field variations from producing noticeably different user experiences between adjacent stations. Brushed gold adds warmth without requiring physical handles or controls on the deck. A documented non-abrasive cleaning procedure is worthwhile as well. Rapallo ultimately works because premium appearance can coexist with a disciplined, repeatable commercial installation strategy.

Earlier systems frequently struggled with reflective countertop exposure and fluctuating plumbing pressure conditions that caused repeated recalibration requests, whereas this faucet maintained smoother activation timing with more dependable stream regulation throughout repeated operation cycles.
