What Your Warranty Means
Coverage basics
FontanaShowers bathroom products are engineered for long-term performance and beauty.
The Homeowner Product Warranty is designed to protect you against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal, intended use.
Following the warranty information below you will find important details on how to maintain the quality of your new product.
We at FontanaShowers are so confident of our quality that we offer our Product Warranty® on all our bathroom products.
Proof of product purchase or of original home ownership is required in order to obtain any of the benefits set forth below.
(Commercial applications limit duration of warranty, as provided below.)
Warranty Statement
FontanaShowers bathroom products will be free of all defects in material and workmanship that would impair the intended and proper use of the product, and FontanaShowers
also warrants against deterioration of the product’s finish for as long as the original purchaser owns the home in which the product is originally installed.
If the product is installed in a commercial application, the above warranty shall be limited to a period of five (5) years for mechanical and five (5) years for finish from the date of purchase of the product.
In practical terms, this means that if something goes wrong due to a manufacturing defect — not misuse, harsh chemicals, or improper installation — FontanaShowers will repair or replace defective parts in line with the written warranty terms.
Important: Warranty terms can be updated from time to time. Always refer to the official warranty pages for the most current coverage details.
Coverage by Product Type
By category
Different FontanaShowers product categories may have specific warranty terms, all within the framework of the manufacturer’s warranty for defects.
Here is a general outline based on current policy pages:
Faucets (including many bathroom sink and tub faucets)
Shower systems & sets
Motion / touchless sensor faucets and automatic soap dispensers
For exact coverage on a particular model, always refer to the warranty details listed on that product’s page and the relevant warranty category page on
FontanaShowers.com.
Residential vs Commercial
Installation type
Your existing warranty text already notes that commercial installations have different time limits (for example, a 5-year limitation on mechanical and finish coverage in certain versions of the policy).
In general:
Residential / Homeowner use
Typically longer coverage periods
Applies to the original consumer purchaser
For products installed in a single-family or similar dwelling
Commercial use
Hotels, offices, restaurants, public restrooms, multi-unit projects, etc.
Often shorter coverage durations
May have separate terms for mechanical parts and finishes
If your FontanaShowers product is installed in a hotel, restaurant, office building, or another non-residential environment,
review the commercial warranty details or speak with your project representative for the applicable terms:
Your original text already highlights this, but it’s worth repeating and expanding:
how you clean and maintain your fixtures is directly tied to your warranty coverage.
Regular use of a soft cloth rinsed in warm water and/or typical non-abrasive dishwashing soap (for example, Dawn or Palmolive) will keep a FontanaShowers finish looking clean and new.
The use of abrasive cleaners, organic solvents or acid to clean, shine or polish such finishes will nullify the FontanaShowers warranty as to such finishes.
Damage from any of the below is typically not covered by warranty:
Use of harsh or abrasive cleaners, chemicals, or pads
Improper installation, including failure to follow instructions
Modifications or alterations made to the product
Damage from accidents, misuse, or abuse
Normal wear and tear, or issues arising from poor maintenance
FontanaShowers also provides broader care & maintenance information and cleaning recommendations on its service pages;
these are useful references when planning routine cleaning:
During construction of your new home, or when installing the faucet, it is possible that debris (dirt, sand, stones, etc.) may have fallen into the water lines.
FontanaShowers suggests, as a precautionary measure, that you conduct the following cleaning procedure on your kitchen and lavatory bathroom products:
Carefully unscrew the aerator from the spout of the faucet.
After turning on the cold and hot water supply lines, turn the faucet handle to the fully open cold position.
Run the water for several minutes until any debris has cleared the valve, and then turn the faucet handle to the closed position.
Repeat this step for the hot water.
Rinse the aerator’s cone-shaped screen to eliminate any debris in it.
Securely screw the aerator back into the spout, and check for any leaks.
If any troubles occur or if installation help is needed, please contact FontanaShowers Consumer Service via the
Customer Service page.
Finish Care
It’s easy to keep your bathroom products looking new and your warranty intact:
DO wipe water from bathroom products after each use to avoid spotting and build-up.
DO use only a soft damp cloth, warm water and/or typical non-abrasive dishwashing soap (for example, Palmolive or Dawn) to wipe clean.
DO NOT use abrasive cleansers or abrasive cloths on your bathroom products.
DO NOT allow water to dry on bathroom products as it may cause unsightly spotting.
Organizing Your Documents
Before you need support
Because proof of purchase is required to process warranty claims, take a moment to organize your product information right after installation:
Save your original receipt or order confirmation (digital and/or printed).
Note the product model number and finish as shown on the packaging or product page.
Record the installation location in your home (e.g., “Primary bath – sink faucet”).
Keep any installation instructions and warranty leaflets with your home records.
If you created an account on FontanaShowers.com when purchasing, you can often access your order history by logging in, which makes it easier to find documentation later.
These details will help support quickly identify your product and speed up the claim evaluation process.

Quick FAQ
Common questions
Q: Do I need a licensed plumber to install my FontanaShowers product for the warranty to apply?
−
While the warranty text may not always explicitly require a licensed plumber,
improper installation is a common cause of non-covered damage.
Using a qualified professional helps protect both performance and your warranty coverage.
Q: If I sell my home, does the warranty transfer to the next owner?
+
Most FontanaShowers warranties apply to the original consumer purchaser and are not transferable.
They typically remain in effect only while that purchaser owns the home where the product was first installed.

Yes. When a claim is approved, FontanaShowers will repair or replace using parts that meet
FontanaShowers specifications for that product line.
Q: What if my issue is with LED lights in a shower system or other electronic features?
+
Certain electronic/LED components may have separate exclusions or coverage terms.
Check the specific warranty notes for LED or electronic components on the product page
