Fontana Breno™ Black Granite Automatic Motion Sensor Faucet

Motion-Sensing Control, Waterfall Discharge Geometry & Ceramic Valve Engineering

Engineered for commercial washrooms, this black granite brass faucet combines automatic motion sensing, waterfall delivery, and ceramic valve technology for reliable touch-free operation.

How should the motion sensor be coordinated with dark or reflective basin materials?

Sensor response should be validated after the basin and countertop are fully installed. Dark granite, polished stone, glass, or reflective surfaces can alter infrared return characteristics, so commissioning should verify reliable hand recognition without stationary surfaces producing false activation.

How do the 4.33-inch spout height and 4.33-inch reach affect hydraulic basin coordination?

The matching 4.33-inch height and projection establish a compact discharge envelope. Designers should coordinate these dimensions with bowl depth and drain position so the waterfall stream enters the effective capture zone without striking shallow surfaces that could increase splashback.

What engineering role does the ceramic valve core perform during repeated sensor cycling?

The ceramic valve core provides hard, dimensionally stable sealing surfaces that resist friction and wear during repeated hydraulic operation. This helps preserve controlled water delivery and sealing reliability in commercial environments subject to frequent daily activation cycles.

Why should the 1/2-inch supply connection be flushed before final commissioning?

Flushing removes pipe scale, construction debris, and sealant fragments before they reach the internal valve passages. After connection, installers should verify leak integrity, sensor response, automatic shutoff, and waterfall alignment through repeated operating cycles.
